There's gotta be more to life...

Sooooo I haven't posted anything in weeks! I'm lazy when it comes to live journal. xD
But I kinda wanted to get my thoughts out on a recent news story.
It's that story about the 8 teens (6 girls) kidnapping and savagely beating up a girl. And taping it!

WTF. Ok firstly, if you video tape a crime of that severity and upload it to a public website like youtube, then you're fucking retarded.

With that being said, I think they should be treated and charged as adults. What they did was planned...they knew exactly what they were doing. I'm sorry, but a lot of "children" know exactly what they are doing when they commit crimes, yet we let them off because they're under the age of 18 and obviously had no control over their own actions.

And for Christ's sake, it was THEIR OWN FAULT. Stop putting the blame on other things, like Myspace or Youtube. They knew exactly what they were doing. Probably just to 'get famous'. Well they accomplished that. Well done girls, now all of America thinks you're douchebags. No scratch that, knows.

Just the fact that those girls were able to beat on an innocent girl...tells me that deep down, they're not "good"....they're disgusting. What kind of 'good person' does that to another human being? Even if I hated another girl, I couldn't have beaten her like that. They knocked her unconscious at one point...and she might even be blind in one eye now. Ugh, they honestly disgust me.

But yeah, I really hope they get tried as adults. And regret what they did for the rest of their lives.

Was it worth it? Let's hope the American legal system answers that with a huge NO.

So I'm back in Buffalo. And depressed.

So I just want everyone to know .... that I'm going to CALIFORNIA!!!! :D
I can't believe I convinced my parents to let me go!!! I leave on March 14th and I get back the 22nd. I'll be staying with my boyfriend (he lives in Monterey Bay, a few hours south of San Francisco) and OH GOSH I am so freaking excited. I've never even been past the mississippi river before and now I'm heading off to the Golden state! YAY! BY MYSELF. TO SPEND ALONE TIME WITH MY BOYFRIEND.

See, my parents are very protective of me, to the point of wanting to know my where-abouts even at the age of 20. So the fact that they are letting me leave by myself for a whole week to stay with my BOYFRIEND .... just wow. God must love me this month! Ha. Even though its not till March, I feel like its tomorrow and i have NEVER been this excited before.

So of course I had to share it with my livejournal friends :D 

And in the spirit of travel I have a question for all of you...What's your favorite destination spot? Where is the most exciting place you've ever been to? And why??

Up until now I would have to say Virginia Beach, because I loved the atmosphere. But I haven't been to too many places.

I usually don't like blogging about political issues. But this issue isn't only a political issue, in fact I believe it's a primarily moral issue. And of course that issue is abortion. Today is the anniversary of the infamous "Roe v. Wade" supreme court case. A little unknown fact about me : I listen to news/talk radio. I like being informed lol. Well tonight I was listening to a local talk show host and he chose abortion as his topic. And his thoughts on the issue shocked me. "I believe that life begins at conception BUT I think that the woman's wants and intentions are paramount to the life of the unborn child".

I personally am pro-life and found this statement appalling and logically unsound. But I don't want to go on a rant in this blog. I want to compile what other people think on this issue of abortion.

And if you are reading this and would like to add your thoughts, please comment. I just want to know what other people believe and their reasoning.

Alright so I haven't updated my LJ in a ridiculously long time. :x BUT I don't really feel like writing out a full entry, so instead, here is a stupid little survey. :P

Oh wowzers. So as of right now, my boyfriend is coming to visit me in 43 hours. AHHH! I have to admit that I'm nervous, but most of my nervousness is being overtaken by pure excitement. :D It's going to be amazing. I know it. :D It's like waiting for Christmas as a child; the more I want it to come, the slower time goes. Eek! So I've been filling up all of my time. Studying, cleaning, friends....Ha! Tomorrow I'm having ppl over for a movie at 7 and in between I'm going to be cleaning frantically. EEK. I say eek too much. >.<

AHHH. So my life is ridiculous at the moment. I'm kinda stressing, and by kinda i mean really. So since I'm so good at making lists, I'll do that instead of some silly narrative paragraphs about the current causes of stress in my life.

1. IN CLASS FINALS. I have 3 of them...one on wed, one on thurs and one on fri. The hardest one [in my opinion] is over with (I had my calc 3 exam this morning) but I still have two more to go. Not to mention another final the following wed....but I digress.
2. WORK. I worked tues, wed night (aka tonight) and i work tomorrow morning (thurs) until I have class. And after my 3 o'clock class I have an exam. That I HAVEN'T studied for. Why? Because Tues was spent studying for Calc, and I couldn't study today cause I worked right after my last class and I cant study tomorrow ... cause I work AGAIN until class which leaves me from 4-5 to study. A whole freaking hour. Yay.
3. CLEANING. Even though I have the weekend off work (Fri and Sat at least; I have to work Sun) I have to clean the whole freaking house, including my room, the kitchen, the dining and living room...the upstairs room...and why you ask? Well that gets me to number 4.
4. JOSH. Yeaaaaah, he's coming in a week; next Thursday the 13th. So not only do I need to straighten up my room, I need to clean the whole house because yeah, he's staying here. AHH. Not to mention I'll have work on Sun, Tues and Wed of next week AND I have a final exam on that Wed too. Which leaves this Fri, Sat and next Mon to get everything [at home] set up for Josh. And lastly....
5. MONEY. Or should I say my lack of it. I honestly have about 30 dollars in my checking account. And I have bills to pay, a gas tank to fill, Christmas presents and essentials for ski club [snowboard, snow pants, etc] to buy. And I only have about 2 more paychecks to do all of that, since I took off work from the 13th to the 23rd due to Josh staying here. RAWR.

Well, that felt good to let out. >.< I feel like I can breathe! Little side story, I'm finally talking to a real Japanese　「日本」 guy! His name is Nobu and I usually talk to him before Japanese class in the middle lounge. He's really nice and answers all my annoying questions about Japanese slang and such. ^^; すごいね★彼はカッコイイとおしゃれだよから～日本の男の人は大好きだよ。

Anyways I'm kind of exhausted so I'm gonna wrap this up. Time for some sleepy sleep, because I get to wake up at 7 and go back to work tomorrow morning! Woo! ::Dies::

So good news...life is getting better. Why you ask?

1. Only one more week left in the semester! WOO!
2. No more fights with the bf !
3. I bowled a 158 tonight!! Which is a high score for me, i usually average an 80 :/ lol
4. I finally have a boss at work that listens to me!! :D
5. Josh is coming in 2 weeks (Dec 13th)! AHHH!
6. It hasn't snowed a billion ft (yet).

So all in all, not a bad way to start December. (I know it's still Nov, but Dec is on Sat).

I have my Calculus in-class final next Wed...EEK. I need to start HARDCORE studying RIGHT NOW. I've blown off the last 4 'extra credit' homeworks, which means i better get a freaking GOOD grade on this final (although I didn't blow the other two tests; I averaged a B).Which means I need to study. :/

Not to mention my Urban Studies final on Thurs. That class is easy, but sadly I don't pay attention since it has NOTHING to do with my intended major. Hopefully I'll do good on the final though. :D

Then lastly my Japanese final is during exam week...the 12th I think. I should do fine. :] Japanese is by far my best class.

So hopefully my GPA will be good this semester. I need it. :]

Anyways, about time to be heading off to bed now. Its nearly 2am and I need to be up around 6:30. EEK. Tomorrow is gonna be a loooooooooong day.

I've been pretty lazy when it comes to updating this LJ lately. So what the hell! Here it goes. Firstly my Thanksgiving...wasn't too bad. I had to work in the morning which kinda sucked but they let me go early so I could go home to the lovely meal my mom prepared. Later that night I went to my cousin's house for dessert and we went bowling after that (only 50 cents!)

Only two more weeks in the semester to go, then finals. Holy crap, I can't believe it! That means I have to start studying for finals and such :/ Damnit. Ah well. I'm actually looking forward to Spring Semester :]

I apologize for the abrupt subject changes with little to no transitions, but things haven't been going too well with my BF lately. I'm almost sure it's all due to stress and nervousness; I mean he's coming in 2 weeks! When he gets here I'm sure all the stupid little problems we have will dissipate. But I just hope we can get to that point. :x

Yeah. Well I need to head over to school soon. So I'll cut this entry short. :/ And look forward to the season finale of Heroes next Mon. ^^;

LOL. So It's like, 3am and this video hit my funny bone. Thought I'd share it with you. :D

So I think it's about time for a semi-angsty post. Sometimes I cannot stand my parents. Eh, who am I kidding...most of the time. I wonder if they'll ever act semi normal. >.< Alright, so I'm a 19 year old sophomore in college living at home. Well, there's probably one of my first problems. I think I should've dormed, but it's too late now really. Besides, I don't want to 'waste' money if I can commute to school. But yeah, my parents still treat me like i'm 16; like I can't make good judgement calls about my personal life. I need to move out as soon as possible, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. :/ Meh. I get along with them about 50% of the times, and the other 50% is just circular arguing. But God, I'm almost 20 years old! I know they are trying to look out for me and all, but cmonnnn. It's my life, let me live it!

Ok, moving on ...

I am honestly addicted to heroes. I think it just hit me. It was all I could talk about today at school. xD It's sad that there's only three episodes left....I wonder if that's due to the writer's strike. >.< There are so many good story lines in that show and in the end they all overlap! It's just amazing. I remember in the beginning of season one when it seemed like no one was related to anyone else, then all of a sudden everyone was connected!! I think my favorite hero is Peter. I can honestly say that I didn't like that actor in Gilmore Girls, but in Heroes, I can't get enough of him! And holy crap, I love Adam, even though he might be evil. xD So the whole, Adam and Peter thing at the end of the latest episode was amazing.

Well hm, I guess this entry will just update the very FEW friends of mine on how my life is. :P Today is my 3 month anniversary with my boyfriend. :] Everything's going well so far; I'm so in love ^^; He's coming to visit on Dec 13th and I'm excited, nervous and anxious all at once! EEK! I know things will be amazing though, so I really should stop worrying.

In other news, the semester is coming to an end. Time to hit the books and get good grades! :D I don't wanna flunk out of school! I think there is one more test in my Urban studies class and two more exams in my Calc 3. Japanese is going alright too. I have an oral exam on Thursday and I'm so nervous! xD Ahhhh. Oh well. I just need to study a lot!
